BASIC CLASS OBJECTIVES

  • To present to the students various types of activities such as individual and team sports, so the students may learn rules and regulations of such activities, and have general knowledge of a variety of sports.
  • To demonstrate and instruct the students in the basic skills of team and individual sports, so the students may attempt, practice, and improve their development in motor skills for present and future use.
  • To test students in the areas of agility, balance, endurance, flexibility, and overall fitness.
  • To make students aware of their physical strengths and weaknessess.
  • To help all students develop some sense of team work, honesty and integrity, as promoted in the qualitites of good sportsmanship, by participating in various activities.
  • To encourage each student to find some level of success in recreational, sport, and strength training activities, by realizing his/her own degree of coordination, posture, reflexes, and other motor functions.
