  • Congratulations to Hoppin teachers Chrissy Fenner for being named the SJISD Special Education Parent Advisory Committee Special Education Teacher of the Year and Ashley Martz for being named the SJISD Special Education PAC General Education Teacher of the Year! The PAC award honors outstanding people in the county who are contributing to the education and understanding of children with disabilities. They will be given their awards on Thursday, April 30, 6:30 pm at the SJISD awards dinner. Hoppin has been blessed to have a PAC award winner every year for the last 4 years!

Ruth Hoppin Elementary is located in Three Rivers, Michigan and is one of four elementary buildings in Three Rivers Community Schools. It is part of a rural community in southwestern Michigan and lies midway between Detroit and Chicago. Hoppin has 320 students in Kindergarten through 5thgrade who come from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. 


Our success at Hoppin is attributed to supportive parents, dedicated staff, eager students, and a strong community. Throughout the school year volunteers organize activities, prepare classroom materials, and work with students. Hoppin staff sets high academic and social expectations for students, encouraging them to strive for excellence. The Hoppin school community is committed to ensuring that all students become productive members of society.
Normal school hours are 8:00-3:11
Half-day dismissal time is 11:31
Early release Monday time is 2:14
