Three Rivers Community Schools has partnered with the non-profit Paws With a Cause to purchase Therapy Facility Dogs for our schools. Therapy Facility Dogs are working dogs specifically trained to help more than one person in facilities like schools. Unlike assistance dogs that serve one person, professionally trained facility dogs work with a trainer or handler to serve multiple people who need social interaction, recovery motivation, comfort, and/or a feeling of safety. It is an easy and effective therapeutic program many public schools are choosing to help alleviate the everyday stresses and worries of school aged children.
We are very excited to provide this therapeutic program for our students and staff!
