Enrollment

Three Rivers Community Schools (TRCS) believes in the strength of community created by a neighborhood schools model. Geographical boundaries are established at the district level and students are enrolled in the school that corresponds to their residence address.

Elementary Attendance Boundaries

We would be happy to enroll your child in our Kindergarten program, where they will continue to receive strong support and a nurturing learning environment. Additionally, we can place your child on the waiting list for the Young 5 program in case a spot becomes available before the start of the school year.

Please call 269-278-7409 to proceed with Kindergarten enrollment and/or to add your child to the Young 5 waitlist; we will keep you informed of any changes in availability.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss the best placement option for your child, feel free to reach out.

In-District Student Transfer Program

Three Rivers Community Schools supports our community with our four (4) elementary schools: Andrews Elementary, Hoppin Elementary, Norton Elementary and Park Elementary. Geographical boundaries are established at the district level, and students are enrolled in the school that corresponds to their resident address. This program is for students who live in the Three Rivers Community School District requesting a transfer from their boundary-assigned school to an alternate school within the District.

The submission window for In-District Transfer Requests for the 2025-2026 School Year is now CLOSED due to limited space at our in-town schools (Andrews & Hoppin)

Requests must be submitted to the Three Rivers Community Schools Administrative Office before August 1st of the current academic year to be effective for the start of the next academic year. The Administrative Office is located at 851 Sixth Avenue Rd, Three Rivers MI 49093.  You may also submit your In-District Transfer Request through your student's PowerSchool account.

Families will be notified by mail of the outcome of their request no later than two (2) weeks before the start of the school year.

Please Note: You may only request a school, not a specific teacher; placement is based on grade and classroom availability.

In District Transfer Requests will be reviewed using the following criteria:

  • Students living in the attendance areas of the school requested.
  • Availability of enrollment space in school being requested. Space availability is determined by the contractual guidelines for class size and current balancing procedures.
  • When there is a sibling in the same building.
  • In the event there are more applicants than spaces available in a particular school, students will be chosen by the date and time of submission.
  • Request for school received within prescribed timeline.

Transportation will only be provided to students in the In-District Transfer plan within the framework of the overall transportation policy of the District.

You may submit an In-District Transfer Application electronically through your student's PowerSchool account, or by using the Google Form link below:
