American Legion Brewer Scholarship

$500 available for Michigan high school or college students who are a son or daughter of a veteran and planning to attend any recognized college or university.

  • Student must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA

Jackie Robinson Scholarship

  • Be a graduating, minority high school senior.
  • Plan to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution within the United States.
  • Show leadership potential.
  • Demonstrate a dedication to community service.
  • Present evidence of financial need.
  • Be a United States citizen.
  • Submit an official copy of your SAT/ACT scores.
  • Not possess a degree from a 2 or 4-year college when applying for the scholarship.

America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders Scholarship

$1500 scholarship

  • Must be a high school senior or full time college student with at least a 2.5 GPA.
  • Must be going into a two year or four year agricultural related career
  • Must include two endorsements from farmers in in eligible counties.

Michigan Association of Broadcasters Foundation

Students must be a Michigan High School Senior with a 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

  • A Michigan resident
  • Accepted for enrollment in a two or four year college, university or trade school
  • Planning to enroll in a full-time, undergraduate course of study in a broadcast-related field
  • Must be working in the broadcasting field or have some type of previous experience
  • Students need to attach an essay, recommendation letters, resume and transcript along with the application to apply for this $750.00 scholarship
  • Go to the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Foundation to find the application, and submit it by January 16, 2026.

MENSA Student Scholarships

Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund

John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest

Essays can be no more than 1,000 words. Citations and bibliography are not included in the word count.

  • Applicant must be a US citizen and reside in one of the 50 states.
  • Essays must be the original work of the student.
  • John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Edward M. Kennedy are not eligible subjects for essays.

CSPAN Student Cam 2025

Students must be in grades 6 through 12 and 18 years old or younger

  • Students may be in public, private, or home school
  • Submit a 5 to 6 minute video including CSPAN clips using the required yearly theme
  • Student prizes range from $250 to $5000

United States JCI Scholarship Program

$1500 scholarships available for those attending an accredited post secondary institution after graduation. 

  • $1000 available for those attending a vocational trades school after graduation..

  • Must be a graduating high school senior planning on continuing their education at an accredited post secondary educational institution or vocational school

Eagle Scout Scholarships

Elks National Foundation Legacy Awards 

Available for the 25-26 School Year (Edited 09/18/25)

  • This scholarship awards four-year scholarships to children and grandchildren of Elk members who are high school seniors going to college.
  • Scholarships range from $1000 to $12,500 per year.
  • Any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of an living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2023, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2023, is eligible to apply. The Elk must have paid lodge dues for the last two contiguous years through March 31st 2026. Great-grandchildren are not eligible.
  • Applicant must be a High School Senior.
  • The applicant must apply online only. Applications will be available ONLINE ONLY.
  • If the applicant’s parent and grandparent are both Elks members, the applicant should apply through the parent’s Elks Lodge.
  • SAT/ACT requirement waived for 2026.
  • Applicant must prepare a couple of essays as noted in the application.
  • Elks Legacy Awards applications must be filed online on or before February 2nd, 2026.

WMU Foundation Scholarship

  • $64,000 scholarship ($16,000 per year)
  • Must have a minimum GPA of at least a 3.7 weighted GPA
  • To qualify a student must be a first year student admissible to WMU for Fall 2026.
  • Have verified financial need.   Student is eligible or enrolled in the national free or reduced lunch program, or be a ward of the state, orphan, or in foster care, or be homeless as determined by school districts Mckinney-Vento liaison, or be undocumented.

American Legion Auxiliary Spirit of Youth Scholarship for Junior Members

  • Candidates for this award shall be/shall have been Junior members of the American Legion Auxiliary; said member to have held Junior membership in the American Legion Auxiliary for the past three years and must hold a membership card for the current year; applicant must continue her membership in the American Legion auxiliary during the scholarship period.

  • Must be an enrolled high school student at any grade level, 14 years old or older.

Houzz Scholarship Program

American Legion Trades Scholarship

  • Two year $1,000 scholarship. $1000 awarded for two years.
  • Must be a Michigan resident
  • Must be 17 to 21 years old at the time of application.
  • Applicant must be pursuing a skilled trades career through post-high school trades training/apprenticeship OR through a 2-year college degree in a skilled trade.
  • It is preferred that the applicant be a descendant of a veteran but it is not required.

United States Youth Senate Program

  • Two student leaders will be chosen as student delegates from each state and Washington DC.
  • +The United States Youth Senate Program will take place March 1st through 8th, 2025.  All transportation, meals and lodging will be taken care of through the Hearse.Foundation.
  • Qualified high school junior or seniors must show demonstrated leadership by serving in elected or appointed positions in which they are actively representing a constituency in organizations related to student government, education, public affairs and community service.  They must be actively serving in qualified leadership positions,
